We are in Penne

Penne is a picturesque town in the province of Pescara, Abruzzo, famous for its historic center built on four hills between the valleys of the Tavo and Fino rivers. Known as the “City of Bricks” for its extensive use of terracotta in architecture, Penne boasts ancient origins as the former capital of the Vestini people, and today is listed among “The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy”. The town offers splendid views of olive groves, hills and mountains, a charming maze of medieval streets, notable churches, noble palaces, and a vibrant cultural scene at the gateway to the Gran Sasso National Park.

Discover Penne

In the video below, some images of the historic centre of Penne. Founded in the 6th century BC, the city collaborated with and then fought against the Romans. Few architectural elements remain from that period due to conquests and destruction by enemies. The historic centre now contains medieval elements and historic buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries.
